The Resilient Church is a place of refreshing where people from all walks of life are welcomed, encouraged, and equipped to grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and live resilient lives in Christ.

Our Mission

We are a congregation of Spirit-filled believers devoted to God through prayer, fasting, and worship. We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We are committed to seeing all hurting and burdened souls experience a transformative-relationship with God. Therefore, with open hearts, we willingly devote our lives to God’s service. As part of our worship we care for the homeless, the orphaned, the widowed, the hurting, the addicted, and those who have been affective by emotional and physical pain. In all our ways we seek to honor and acknowledge God, our Savior, and the Holy Spirit making representation His physical body on the Earth.

Statement of Faith — What We Believe:

  • In one God, Maker of all things and being eternally existent in the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  • The Son of God, Jesus Christ, became incarnate was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man (Emanuel). His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatory work and His personal return in power and glory.

  • The Holy Bible as the Word of God in its entirety, originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

  • In the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.

  • In the personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. The salvation of lost and sinful man, apart from works, through faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ.

  • In sanctification by the Blood of Christ, in separation from the world and dedication to Christ.

  • In divine healing and divine health through faith in the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Divine provision and giving in accordance to the scriptures that the just shall live by faith.

  • In baptism in water by immersion through the formula given by Jesus Christ in the scriptures.

  • In the baptism of the Holy Ghost accompanied by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Sprit of God gives utterance, as distinct from the new birth, and the nine gifts of the Spirit listed in I Corinthians chapter 12, is available to all believers.

  • In the support of intensive evangelism and community work in accordance with the Great Commission, with signs following.

Who Is Apostle Julius R. Glass?


Apostle Julius R. Glass was born 1961 and raised in the Houston area and attended M. C. Williams High School. He honorably served for 12 years in the United States Army Reserve as a medic and material-handler specialist before retiring from military service in 1991.

He married Madeline Glass, in 1985 they have 3 wonderful kids, 4 grandchildren and have been married for over 41 years

Apostle Glass accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of eight. In 1991, he answered God’s call to ministry and was licensed to preach the gospel. In 1996, he was ordained as an elder at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

In 1997, he was appointed interim pastor of Great Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and later became its pastor. In 1999, he transitioned into a new season of ministry and organized United Bible Fellowship Ministries.

Committed to spiritual and academic growth, Apostle Glass began pursuing his bachelor’s degree in 2002. He attended Cornerstone University Theological Seminary, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology in 2005. In 2008, Calvary theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling and a Doctor of Theology.

In 2003, he was consecrated to the office of Apostle. His ministry soon expanded internationally, and in 2005, he began traveling overseas to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in Ghana and South Africa.

Also in 2005, Apostle Glass established Rhema Fellowship, a ministry designed to provide fellowship, spiritual guidance, and apostolic support to pastors and ministry leaders in Houston, San Antonio, Jackson Tennessee, and surrounding areas.

In 2020, the ministry acquired 10 acres of property, including a 6,000-square-foot facility. During this season of renewal and expansion, the ministry was renamed The Resilient Church—a place committed to restoring lives, strengthening families, and serving the surrounding community.

In 2024, Apostle Glass became a published author with the release of his first book, Trusting God Blind Folded. He is also preparing to release his next book, Living Supernatural, in the future.

Apostle Julius R. Glass is a visionary leader and sought-after preacher with a passion for transforming lives through the Word of God. He believes every person can reach their full potential by applying biblical principles, developing their God-given gifts, and faithfully pursuing God’s purpose for their life.

Soul-winning remains at the heart of his ministry. Under his leadership, The Resilient Church is committed to reaching the lost, developing disciples, strengthening believers, and empowering people to become everything God has called them to be.

His vision is to develop the ministry’s 10-acre property into The Resilient Campus—a place that will serve the spiritual, educational, social, and practical needs of the surrounding community for generations to come.

Apostle Glass also provides apostolic covering and spiritual leadership to House of Hope Haven in Uganda, under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Kenneth.

In 2026, this God-given vision began to unfold through the launch of Phase One: “The Road to Resilient”

What began as a vision is now becoming a reality. Apostle Julius R. Glass continues to move forward by faith—building a ministry, developing a community, and preparing a legacy that will impact generations to come.
